Preventive

At Future Dental, we help you maintain your optimal oral health

The best thing for your oral health is to have your natural teeth for life. We know that prevention is always better than a cure and for this reason, we believe strongly in preventive care for our patients.

We believe that it is very important for patients to have regular dental check-ups, not only to maintain oral health but to diagnose possible risks and issues that can cause problems in the future. We are certain of the importance of dealing with small dental issues before they become serious so that we can nip any emerging problems in the bud.

We provide a range of preventive treatments to help you maintain your oral health:

Did you know…

It is important to have your teeth professionally cleaned every six months to prevent gum disease such as periodontal disease, which in some cases can lead to tooth loss. In fact, periodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults. Not to mention the fact that serious health issues have been linked to periodontal disease. Did you know that the high levels of bacteria and inflammation caused by periodontal disease have been linked to a number of serious health issues?  Some of the health issues that have been linked to periodontitis are:

  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Arthritis
  • Breast cancer in post-menopausal women
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s
  • Osteoporosis
  • Low birth-weight babies
  • Premature birth

By visiting your dentist for a regular clean and examination, you reduce the risk of disease and you can keep on top of your oral health.

Your treatment, your choice

Once your evaluation has been performed and all information is gathered, a thorough explanation of optimal dental treatment and options will be explained so that you can make an informed decision that best suits your circumstances.
