Bonding
Dental bonding involves the adhesion to your teeth of a specialised resin material that becomes as strong as your own teeth and virtually as hard as your own enamel. It is an inexpensive way of correcting minor cosmetic anomalies.
Because modern bonding materials duplicate the appearance of natural tooth structure, they can be used to restore the appearance of a tooth without any fillings.
Often teeth that are chipped, broken or already filled with mercury amalgam material can be restored back to the original appearance when the tooth was whole and healthy.
Small teeth can be made a more typical size, areas of grinding wear, tooth brush wear or chemical erosion can be restored to a beautiful condition.
Front teeth gaps can be closed and twisted or crowded teeth can be re-aligned.
Back teeth that have small to moderate sized metal fillings can be strengthened and brought back to a natural appearance by bonding.
Sometimes heavy tooth wear can cause the jaws to over-close causing a collapse in the lower facial height and a prematurely aged appearance. Bonding can be used as part or all of the solution to re-build the lost tooth structure and restore the facial profile restoring a more youthful appearance.
Bonding is a strong, reliable and economical way of restoring lost tooth structure.
